114/915 Crossroads Revitalization
Anderson Hollow Lighthouse to be moved to Old Bank corner
Old Bank Grounds
The Old Bank of New Brunswick sits at the crossroads of the 114 and the 915 in Riverside Albert. It is steeped in a century of history, from its remarkable relocation; to being the site of New Brunswick’s largest bank robbery in 1984!
These corner crossroads are an integral part of our history and we would like to see them restored, revitalized, and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
We will need brainpower, manpower, and some creative capital as we are building toward the new and exciting future of Riverside Albert.
A community meeting was held Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 and the results will be posted here as soon as the report is complete.

Lumsden Bridge Restoration
The Lumsden Bridge is a crucial tourism link for both Snowmobiles and ATVs visiting our region. The original bridge was damaged in a freshet around 2012. There was enough structural damage that engineers determined it was no longer safe and sadly, it was dismantled.
This section of trail is some of the most pristine backcountry we have and enjoys significant snowfall which is protected by boreal forest cover from the sun. This provides a longer spring trail season than so many other locations. It is also a crucial link for forest fire protection and emergency services. The new bridge will be significantly higher to protect against damage due to spring or winter thaws as our climate changes.
Reach out if you’d like to help us reach the goal to restore this important piece of our community!

Affordable Housing
Our seniors are a valuable piece to our community. We want to build a multi-unit, affordable, condo-style housing unit in Riverside Albert that will integrate these incredible humans into the community with dignity. We need help to rally together enough voices for our needs to be heard at the government level.

Old Bank Restoration/United Way DOC
Thank you United Way for your help and restoration!
The Old Bank of New Brunswick is steeped in a century of history, from its remarkable relocation by a single horse and a handful of men, to being the site of New Brunswick’s largest bank robbery in 1984!
The summer of 2023 saw a beautification take place to the exterior and grounds with the help of the United Way Day of Caring program.
It still needs some love but we are willing to restore it through the 114/915 Crossroads Initiative and invite guests back in to see the beauty.
